Congratulations on the raise! :)

Thanks! I was completely surprised.  ;D

Today's:

1. We missed the sleet that was supposed to come before the snow we are now getting. I don't mind not getting 1/2 inch of ice before 2-4 inches of snow.

2. Chris left work for a bit to get some vodka for making his *e-liquid, and came back with a bottle of Trooper for hubby and me. What a pal!

* He makes and sells e-liquid in a shop at his house. I don't vape, but have heard it is good stuff.

We received a box of 15 energy efficient light bulbs from the electric company. Very kind of them.

A teenage kid came in to work today selling candles as a fundraiser. I was upstairs at the time and missed him, but Chris (the best bud and boss) bought one to give to me. He wanted to donate, but doesn't burn candles for fear of one of the cats knocking them over.

My great nephew just called me.  [smiley=smitten.gif] I answered, thinking it would be mom, and it was Brax babbling at me. He's a year and 5 months now.

I found my veggie peeler and favorite knife! I have no idea why, but somehow they ended up in a tub of unmated socks when we moved. I am so happy!

Things usually turn up eventually, Tama.

My UP:  my aunt sent me two photographs in the mail, copies of school photos of my grandparents (her mother and father)!  I can really see my son in the one of Grampy!

True, just odd that kitchen things ended up with unmated socks.  ;D I had wondered if I'd accidentally tossed them with potato peels.

I love the gift of family photos. So much history and love in them.

Today mom gave me another quilt that was made by my great grandma. Great grandma has been gone for 30 years now, and her quilts are treasured family heirlooms. With all she made for her kids, grandkids and great grandkids, I'd love to know how many she made over the years. It would be upwards of 60.

That's a great heirloom!

That's a great heirloom!

They are beautiful to look at, so snuggly and warm to wrap up in. It feels like a hug from her every time I use one.

We get long term guests at the hotel quite often, in town on business/for work. There had been a crew of contractors and construction workers in for a few months. One of them bought a charcoal grill so they could use it while they were there. They left yesterday and left the grill behind. It is now sitting outside our building. Woohoo! Free is good.
