Santander any good?

Is Santander any good? There is a branch located at my job and I was thinking about opening an account with them.  Curious to hear people's experiences. Can I use their debt cards anywhere? I'm with TSB now and have never been able to use the card at an atm that was not either TSB or Lloyds.

My husband and I each have an account with Santander and I have been exceptionally pleased with them. My atm card works at all non-fee and fee-charging cash points. Their 1-2-3 account service has been superb.
