Calling a 1800 number
« on: October 03, 2015, 07:57:41 AM »
Does anyone know a reliable way to call a 1800 number from here?
I've tried viber, Skype, truephone, and Google voice. I can hear perfectly however they cannot hear me. I contacted sprint and they told me various ways to no avail.

I am also willing to pay for the call. I have both an American and English SIM card.

I use Skype to call US 1-800 numbers and have no problems, except when Skype is acting up and I have to close and reopen the programme. Sorry, that's the only suggestion I can give you as I have no other option to call the US.

Hi,

I use this service

http://www.yourcallworld.com/

When I do hear the automated recording saying 'calling a 1800 number from outside the US will incur charges set by your provider....' I just carry on as the service charges calls to the US at 1 pence/ min.

Cheers, DtM! West London & Slough UK!

I also use Skype for US toll free numbers.  I've had several calls where I can hear fine, but they can't hear me well - frustrating!  It seems to help if I close other things down on my computer and just open Skype, but I'm not sure if that works well or it's just my superstitious imagination at work.  ;)

When it works though, Skype is great!  :D
