New To Birmingham
« on: May 11, 2005, 11:20:22 AM »
I am living with my boyfriend in Birmingham for the summer and seem to have a lot of free time. I would love to connect with any Americans in the area...

Welcome.  Not even in the UK yet, but welcome to the site.  Have you tried going for short day trips to see some little villages and the countryside?  I hear it is beautiful this time of year or will be soon.

Welcome!  I'm originally from NY but now living in Coventry, about 30 minutes east of Birmingham.

I have found this site to be a great resource for any and all info about living in the UK.  I'd encourage you to share your story here - no matter what your reasons for the move there is probably somebody here who has (or knows of) someone who has gone through something similar.

Best of luck

Hi! I'm in Birmingham, been here almost three years, whereabouts are you? I'm not far from the Birmingham airport. Glad to have another of us in the area.
