Hi everyone, my name is Marti, and I've just been given a conditional offer (with a CoS) with a job in Kent. I've been looking for work in the UK for the past 4 years. To say I'm thrilled is putting it mildly.

 I love expat forums because they help so much with experiences from people who've been through the move. That being said, reading some of the posts here make me think about things I haven't thought about and give me a bit of anxiety!

I have a feeling I'll be posting mostly on the Visa boards to begin with. I tend to try and tackle things one at a time and this seems to be the next big hurdle.

I don't actually know where Kent is (other than 'Englandshire'), but I'm sure there are other folks in that neck of the woods, who can point you in the right direction as you're settling in.

Yep. It's about 40 miles east and a bit south of London.
