I am nipping our trick or treat disappointment in the bud. Firstly, Next year, and I am saving ym money now... we are all going to the US for the Holiday. That, and to get awy from the constant mortar shell sounds here.  ::)

This year, We went out Trick or treating in reverse.

We had a cauldron full of candy, and were giving people candy on our walk. I can't tell you, how many people tried to give us money.

I explained to them, that no, we don't want money, we are just performing a random act of kindness.

People were genuinely shocked and surprised, but since we only had two kids last year, I decided to go out to the masses, as our street has a lot of little shops on it, that are busy on Saturdays. It was a lot of fun

What a good idea, saucy.   Like a candy missionary.   :)
