Hi everyone!
I've got a long and complicated history with the UK... and I haven't even immigrated yet! During my study abroad there 9 years ago my mum ran off with an English guy she met on the internet, while visiting them 4 years ago I met my husband.
Due to a EU student visa and some rather bad legal advice (I'll be taking my stressful questions to the Visa and Immigration board), I wasn't allowed into the UK last month when travelling with my husband at New Years. Now I'm back in the States prepping to send off my spousal visa application and dying of ulcers already.
It'll be so nice to meet other ex-pats who've already been through this, and hopefully give mutual support to anyone in a similar predicament.
