Earned income or income paid in 2015?

Hiya, just trying to figure out whether I need to include the payslip dated the 8th January 2016 in my calculations for earned income?  The payslip was obviously paid in 2016, but it was for income I earned the last week of 2015. Do I include this amunt in my calculations?  Thanks
