Certified Pharmacy Technician (USA)
« on: March 24, 2016, 11:35:06 PM »
I am a registered and certified pharmacy technician in the USA and have been for the last 3 years. I currently work at a medium sized non-profit hospital and would like to continue work in hospital pharmacy as I prefer it compared to retail pharmacy, so I have several questions that maybe someone on here could answer for me; Do hospital pharmacies require technicians to be certified before employment, and if so, would certification from another country suffice in the hiring process or is it easy to transfer my license to the UK?

In the USA, hospitals are privately owned and managed like a business, compared to hospitals in the UK managed under the NHS (I'm guessing?) so it's like dealing with an entirely different animal. any fellow CPhTs / NHS workers on here that could assist? Thanks in advance.
