Expiration date for I-864?
« on: November 16, 2004, 07:31:06 AM »
As hubby and I are going through this whole process again after immigrating almost exactly a year ago, I am just wondering if we can still use the same I-864's as before. (Just a quick re-cap--hubby and I moved over on his I-130 last DEC-we then moved back in March after it became apparent that we weren't quite as prepared as we needed to be for the move--we sent his GC back to the London embassy after moving back to England, and have now again re-applied for the I130). I am assuming that sending his GC back made any I-864's null and void.

Any thoughts?

TIA.

I havent done any research into this, but that is what i would assume as well. You are starting over with a whole new application, new situation, and I bet they'd want everything - including the I-864 - to be new as well. Can't hurt. Since it is something you bring in person anyway, why not just fill it out and give it to them if they ask for it. Even if they don't ask for it (meaning the old was was fine), at least you've got your bases covered. You know?
I'm done moving. Unrepatriated back to the UK, here for good!
