Researching how to get a work visa and all the things I will need to know about moving. This seems like a very helpful site.

Welcome!

What do you do for a living? Work visas are notoriously hard to get for most careers.

Welcome.

As Gwen has said, a work visa is not easy to get. Only 20,700 of these Tier 2 General restricted CoS visas are issued every year and you will need a company to sponsor you. They are graduate level jobs.

Unless you can do a job on the UK's shortage occupation list, have skills in demand or will be paid over 155K, it will be hard to find a sponsor. The sponsor has to carry out a RLMT first, to ensure there is nobody who already has a legal right to work in the UK, who can do the job.

You can have a read here-

If you have citizenship of a commonwealth country and are age between 18 - 30 and don't have children, you can apply for a two year work visa.
