Hi, I am hoping a few people will be willing to respond to a brief questionnaire examining some of the decision making and psychology of American expats currently living in the UK. I am a social psychologist and I am conducting a study of the experiences of American expats. My own experience as an expat was limited to Japan, and I am now back in the States. So far I have collected responses from Americans throughout Asia including Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Thailand, as well the middle East and Australia (31 responses so far). It would be great to have reactions of Americans in the UK included. It is very unique in that there is an assumption of relative ease in making the transition to the UK because of the language and cultural heritage, but I suspect (I have only visited but never lived in the UK) that the transition is not seamless, and that there are things that just aren't apparent on the surface.
Thanks for considering this!
