Information update on priority tier2
« on: October 27, 2016, 12:37:41 PM »
Hi all!
So, I applied for the in country tier 2 general priority service. Here is everything I learned:

1. You need to request permission to use the priority services. It only Ian available for people in country and tier 2 route.

2. Go to the priority tier 2 webpage and download the request for inclusion paper and fill it out.

3. When you request permission, send your request to a certain email address provided on the form you fill out. In the subject line, put you name, date of birth and CoS number.

4. They take the first 60 requests per day so send in your request ASAP! They accept requests between 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday-Friday. I personally sent in a request on Wednesday at 1:30pm And it was not successful. I sent in my request today a text 9:30am and I got it!

5. They email you a link to the priority service and the rest is self explanatory!

I will update everyone on how fast I receive my decision and my documents back.

TIMELINE for In-country Tier 2 Priority General Visa Application:

26 October 2016, about 1:30pm: Requested priority service, not successful

27 October 2016, about 9:30am: Requested priority service, SUCCESS!

27 October 2016: Completed online application for priority, paid for immigration health surcharge, and posted supporting documents through priority mail

28 October 2016: Documents arrived at the UKVI in Sheffield

31 October 2016: Email acknowledgment of my online application and my mailed documents

1 November 2016: Received biometrics letter (post marked 31 October)

1 November 2016: Completed biometrics at Post Office near me

Now, we wait for approval! Should take no longer than 10 working days from the date I posted my documents to Sheffield (about 10 November)

8 November 2016: Visa approved. I got no email, just a letter by post saying it has been approved and it came with my passport

I am just waiting on my Biometrics Residence Permit to be sent, but all in all this process has been completed!

It was 500 extra pounds, but very very very straightforward and took 14 days from start to finish. Very happy!

Great news!  I wouldn't be surprised if your BRP arrives today as well.  Worst case scenario by Thursday I imagine.

I'm surprised at the cost.  That's the same as an in-person appointment with same day decision!  I would have thought it would be a bit less.
