It's possible she's on an EU passport?
She was asked.
If she is an EEA citizen, then she arrived in the summer and therefore only had 3 months to visit the UK. After that she would have had to be a qualified person to stay in the UK. If not, the UK can remove and ban her.
A self employed qualified person must be registered with HMRC and meet the MET (Minumum Earnings Threshold), to be a self employed qualifed person in the UK.
A self sufficient qualified person must have to the funds to support themselves
and have a CSI (Comprehensive Sickness Insurance,) to be self sufficient qualified person in the UK.
She also said she was living in the UK, which you can't do as a visitor, either as an EEA citizens or non-EEA citizen. They visit, not live.
