From Oregon to Colchester UK

Hello,
I think I may have posted in the Welcome Wagon some time ago...but as our plans are now rolling along, I thought it easiest to start anew.

We are from Oregon and will be relocating to Colchester UK next August.  Our daughter has been accepted into Colchester Sixth Form and our niece has been accepted into Colchester Institute.  My husband has dual citizenship (American and Irish) and so we are in the process of applying for our EEA family permits.

So -- we'd love to find out if there are any expats living in or near Colchester.

Welcome to the UK!  I live further south in Essex.  There's lots to do in and around Colchester.  I hope that you have a smooth transition.  Northern Essex is lovely.
