Husbands job delayed another week

So my husband was supposed to start his new job Monday but now they want him to start February 6th.

Can we submit the online application now even if he hasn't started yet. If I can at least submit the online application and do my biometrics next week could I send the supporting documents on the 6th?

Assuming you're applying under Category B (current job paying £18,600 plus previous earnings of £18,600 in the last 12 months), then I think it's fine to apply now as long as he has the official job offer and contract for the new job.

Otherwise, Feb 6th is only a week away, would it do any harm just to wait a few days before you submit the application?

I know it's only a week away but it just seems like another week of no progress. We have everything ready and in place. The only thing we were waiting on was him starting his job.
