FLR (M) Checklist please
« on: May 31, 2017, 10:18:31 PM »
Can you please double check my FLR (M) list for me. This is my first FLR (M), converting from a fiance visa. We are doing an in person appointment on Monday in Glasgow. All documents are originals. We are applying under Cat A and meet the minimum financial requirements.

Printed application with declarations signed
IHS fee paid receipt with ISH #
Application and Premium appointment receipt
Checklist

Marriage certificate
Applicants passport, new and previous
2 UK sized passport photos for applicant, name printed on back.
1 UK sized passport photo for sponsor, name printed on back.
Sponsors new and previous passports
Employment letter
6 months bank statement (Dec-May) printed and stamped by BOS
6 months original payslips (Dec-May)
Divorce decree for applicant
Divorce decree for sponsor
Applicants dependent daughters birth certificate. (She is not applying with me. She is remaining in the US)
Sponsors dependent sons birth certificate. (He is a British citizen.)

Tenancy agreement in joint names, effective July 1, 2017 so I am also submitting the tenancy agreement in my husbands name effective until June 30, 2017 as well as the previous letter from the landlord giving me permission to live in the flat.

Proof of living together mail
Sponsor
-April phone bill
-May polling card
-May letter from DVLA

Joint
-April council tax

Applicant
-April US bank statement
-May BOS letter confirming my name change

Do I need to make copies of everything as well? (I already did. lol) But wasn't sure if we needed to bring them.

Thank you for any feedback.

Is every one of your deposits includedin the bank statements and do they cover a full 6 months?

Two very important things. 😁

When is your appointment?
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

It looks good to me then! I'm sure KFDancer or Ksand will chime in if they think anything else is off. ☺

And do bring the copies if you've already made them, you'll make your ECO's job easier and faster as they won't need to make them. 😉

Call me mardy, but for the price we pay I think UKVI can bloody well make their own photocopies. :P

(however, listen to lyonaria. She's being sensible)

If she hadn't already made them I'd have said, 'why bother they'll make the copies.' But I hate to waste that much paper and it will make their appointment take less time. 😁

Haha, you're nicer than I am. I'd rather wait and make them pay for the photocopies out of their own pocket. :D

I've worked 10+ years in customer service roles, I'm (almost) always nice to people in similar jobs. But if you suck at your job and you're rude... You don't deserve the niceness.

I am always worried that not making copies may mean that I won't receive the originals back.  :-X

At our appointment, the person inputting our data wanted a literal pile of documents. The copies were fine to stay in their sleeve but everything else was taken out and placed in the folder she gave me.

Me too. And I spent a million minutes making copies of everything for my fiance visa and they sent everything back except for my passport photograph. I was a bit salty that they didn't keep any of the copies since I spent so much time making them.

Oooo, interesting. They kept the copies I included both times. Must depend on person who processes the application.

I'd make the copies myself.  :) I'd want to make their job as easy as possible, to keep them in the best mood for approving the application!  :)

Like I always tell my wife...this just shows you're a nicer person than I am. :D Though she does say I like to cut off my nose to spite my face.
