UPS route
« on: June 17, 2017, 02:00:21 AM »
After my experience I'll be in a panic until my visa is in my hands....

So, UPS picked my package up from Sheffield this afternoon but now tracking says it's in Koeln, DE (which I googled is germany)

WTF? Did anyone else's take a trip in the opposite direction?!?!

Mine did that, too.  The other thing you should know is that it doesn't update tracking very often on the weekend.

I understand the worry.  I was the same way.  I think when something goes very wrong, there is a built in fear that it will go wrong again.

I think a couple other people commented that their's went through Germany as well. I remember vividly someone talking about it, but I can't remember who.

Found this quote from a couple years back

Quote
I received notice on Saturday that it would be dispatched shortly but there was no movement until Monday evening. It now shows that it left Sheffield late Monday, traveled to Castle Donnington, UK and then Koeln, Germany (isn't that the wrong direction? :)) and is scheduled to be delivered by the end of the day Tuesday. I'll post again as soon as I receive it. Any update on yours?

It might just be the weird routeing of UPS/VFS. I've had packages from Illinois go Chicago-LA-NYC-Paris-London-Home. No idea why, just happens.

Thank you so much! Yes-I have a lot of mistrust because of my experience: will relax for the weekend as it says it's in transit and scheduled to arrive in Monday!

Yes, sometimes the decision made emails come over the weekend.

Oh, that's good to know! I just saw that Sheffield has business hours on Saturday. I have only been counting M-F toward my daily count. I wonder if I should count Saturday too?

No, even then, you don't count the weekends or public holidays.
