Any nurses on here moved from America to the UK?

Hi, just a question to the good people of these forums  a friend of mine is looking to move here from the US, she's been working for years as a nurse in psychiatric and substance abuse wards so would like to stay in that area over here. Are there any nurses who've moved here from the States who can offer an advice or insight on how they went about applying for work and visas and how they've found it over here? Thanks!
