I took the easy way out and just kept my maiden name for everything. I've had it my whole life, don't feel the need to change it now  ;D

Just wanted to thank everyone for all of the good and useful information shared.

I love this man, obviously or I wouldn't be switching countries for him, but I'm not overly fussed about changing my name. He is lol

Seems like the best option would be to change it immediately after getting married. I just hate that it will delay our visa paperwork. Skype is amazing but I am excited to share our lives without screens between us.

Can do what we did... I am not changing mine.  My dearest felt that since my brother and I were the last of our "line" and that he has siblings that he would change his to mine!  Should have seen the look on my mom's (different last name/remarried) face!
