passport wasn't stamped upon re-entry - what to do
« on: June 11, 2017, 11:55:35 PM »
Hi guys

I just flew back in to heathrow after a few days in the EU. I have a BRP (my second) and every time I've left or come back in the past, they've stamped the passport, written the BRP number on the stamp, and scanned fingerprints.

this time - I may have been a bit tipsy and was flying with a friend, there was a commotion a few people over and everybody was distracted. as I walked off i thought it was strange he hadn't scanned my fingerprints. and then I checked - no stamp in my passport either! he definitely did scan my electronic passport though - I recall making a joke about it.

I'm worried this will hurt me if I am missing a stamp, when it comes to renewing my visa/applying for ILR. what should I do?

I do have stamps showing my leaving the EU country, but no boarding pass, i just used the airline's app on my phone.

It's not an issue.  I'd keep the record of your flight if needed but it shouldn't be.   :)

They know you in the UK and they know when you left too as the UK has exit checks.

If it ever was an issue, you could always request your SAR

thanks guys.

Sirius - I'm more worried about them knowing I re-entered, not left! Gotta keep track of all these days before applying for ILR...

You said the officer scanned your passport when you entered. In (and out) is data that is kept by UKVI.
