Applying for Visa in Person in the UK
« on: November 23, 2005, 10:21:06 AM »
I would like to apply for my visa in person in hopes that I'll get it the same day and avoid the waiting game....  I was on Britain USA, but they obviously give the US locations.  Does anyone know where I might be able to apply in person and/or have a website I could go to?  I did some googling, but found a lot of not so helpful info and thought I'd have a better shot here!!

which visa are you applying for?  where do you live?

I am applying for a Settlement Spouse visa (I think that's what I need....).  I have a fiance visa and was married on 5th Nov.  I live in the Cirencester area of the Cotswolds.

Ooooh Cirencester.  Nice.

It looks like a trip to Lunar House in Croydon is in store for you.  Be sure to book an appointment!

Thanks everyone!!  I just called and my application is being sent to me.  The site was very slow, so I thought I'd just do the old post!!!

Yes, Cirencester is very nice.  I really enjoy Keith's for coffee as they have flavors.  It is on Blackjack Street, which is right across from the Parish Church (where I got married about 3 weeks ago!!).

I love Cirencester, but haven't been in years.  Is Harry Hare's restaurant still there? I think that's the name.  I used to know a polo player and he'd take me there for lunch.

Oh yes!!!!  Harry Hare's is still there and I love it!  We went there for my rehearsal lunch for my wedding.  All of my American contingent loved it as did the English!!!

Cirencester is nice.  Last night they had a tree lighting ceremony and carols.  Tonight they are doing a Candlelight Carol service at the church.  So, it's a very Cotswold Christmas so far!!!

It has great shopping as well!
