Thank you everyone, for being so welcoming. And, please forgive me for not responding sooner. But, unfortunately, things have now fallen totally apart and I will not being making the journey. At least, not for the reasons of being a part of someone's life that lives there.

Denise
I'm so sorry Denise. Big hugs

I'm sorry to hear that. I can say from my own experiences, seeing England on your own can be quite relaxing & a wonderful trip! So much history and the countryside is beautiful. I hope you're still able to visit at some point for your own adventures.  <3

So sorry Denise but better to find out sooner rather than later I think.

Agreed with this! So sorry that things ended negatively :( But at least it happened *before* you spent all the money it costs on weddings/visa paperwork/moving/etc. I know that's obviously not going to help feeling crappy about the situation, but at least it's one positive :(

I strongly recommend that you still put that passport to good use! Come and visit and see the country! :)
My, how time flies....

* Married in the US and applied for first spousal visa August 2013
* Moved to the UK on said visa October 2013
* FLR(M) applied for  May 2016. Biometrics requested June 2016. Approval given July 2016.
* ILR applied for January 2019 (using priority processing). Approved February 2019.
* Citizenship applied for May  2019
* Citizenship approved on July 4th 2019
* Ceremony conducted on August 28th 2019
