London area book club
« on: August 24, 2017, 09:54:04 AM »
Hi. I'm a member of a London book club who meets every month or so. Basically a bunch of twenty-and-thirty-something-and-plus Americans.

Our next meeting is going to be on September 9, at 3 pm.  We're reading The House Cat by Takashi Hiraide and we'd love to have new people come out to join.

We'll be upstairs at the Pret-A-Manger right near Victoria Station, at 173 Victoria Street. Drop me a line, reply or just show up if you're interested.

If it were easy to get in and out of London on a regular basis, I would totally be there :( Since moving, the train isn't direct anymore so is about an hour getting into London now because of all the stops.

Definitely share the books you read though as it'll be nice to see suggestions! :)

Hello! I am definitely interested in a book club. Could you drop me a little more information (like how serious it is, etc)?

Great. I just sent you a message today.

For anyone else, the next three times we meet are on October 14, November 11 and December 9. Again, all on Saturdays, all at 3 pm and all at the Pret-A-Manger.

I think the next one is just going to be a general book discussion. I'm actually not going to be there, I'm off for a delayed vacation but like I said, we love to meet new people. Drop me a line and I'll let everyone else - there should be four people at this one - know. Or just show up. We're very informal.
