Mistake on application
« on: December 23, 2017, 01:24:06 AM »
I'm completely freaking out. The online application took my old passport number and has it listed as my current! I tried to change it but I didn't catch it until after it had been submitted so I couldn't! My hand written Armed Forces is correct, but the printed inline one is wrong. I put a sticky note referencing the correct one which is also on the application. Is this going to completely screw me up?

No, you’ll be perfectly fine :).

Just cross out the incorrect passport number on the printed application form and correct it in pen.

I know that if your name is incorrect on the online form, you can ask them to correct it in the system when you go for biometrics. Not sure if this is possible with the passport number too, but if not, the correction in pen on the online form should be all you need.

Omg. Thank you!!! Should I correct the other slot. Basically it took my previous passport number for the old one and made it my current and vice versa. Should I correct all the info like expiration dates and issue dates on both?

Yeah, correct anything that’s wrong and you can always write a note in the cover letter explaining what happened.

This has happened to people before and hasn’t been an issue.
