WoW!,

Isn't it nice?  Leah gave us a lovely space here...  so how should we decorate it?  Any Ideas?

First off, let me say that although I am back on track myself...  I am not expecting to see a lot jump in so close to the Holidays... I plan on enjoying Christmas eve and day myself.

But, we have 3 weeks to get cool idea's on what type of top topics to make standard for the first of the year... and for those that wish to keep on track through the holiday's  I know this group is great for support.

If there are any members out there that are shy about joining and really wish to gain a support group...  please by all means let me know via message...  I am sure that our webmistress can set up an area for us that does not wish the general public to have insight on.

Just from the several months that I have been with UKY, I have seen an enormous amount of support through most of which are virtual strangers...  A big part of success is support...  no matter what the problem is...

Come January I hope to come up with some fun goal challenges for here...  A challenge can consist of doing a certain workout for a certain length of time...  could be a personal challenge to not eat chocolate...  or drink so much water per day...  Could even be a challenge to walk past Wendy's for a whole month with out stopping in...   :-X

In the past year I have found that being on a weightloss program does not have to be torture and an element of fun can be entered when you have a high spirited group working with you...

So as your moderator...LOL, and cheerleader...  Lets have some fun here! [smiley=bootyshake.gif][smiley=bootyshake.gif] [smiley=bootyshake.gif][smiley=bootyshake.gif]

BTW, Tom agreed last night on the phone that he would lead some walks or cycling tours up north if anyone is interested.

Michelle46304 that is fantastic. That must have been really hard. I lost 70 lbs last year...then turned around and gained back more than half. :-/
But I know since I've done it before I can do it again.

LOL, slamming down burrito's...  is that a new sport?

never really been a burrito fan...  works my system too much  :-X [smiley=bootyshake.gif]  but I do love taco's and fajitas  and oooooh what I use to do for some quesadillia's...  try my best to make my own at home now days though...

I probably shouldn't say this here...  do not wish to upset anyone...  but of all the types of food out there...  mexican is one of the highest in fat content...  and although beans are a good fat...  the additives included are not.  One sitting in a mexiacan restuarant could add inches to the hip in an hour.

On our movie night we always met up at Don Paublo's  gawd the food is sooooo good...  then soon after I decided to watch what I eat...  I calculated just having a small meal that seemed healthy enough and I ended up with over 2000 calories for one meal...  and more than half was fat... (that was a taco salad) That was more than I eat in a whole day... not too mention the sodium content...  errrrrr!

to say the least, I begged the group to let us find a change of places since I could not even warrent a bad day there....  and sadly as I waved bye bye to my favorite bbq chicken quesadilla's we moved the next movie night to the place next door.. Tony Roma's  BBQ rib place...  LOL, still not great...but they have a really great grilled vegetable platter that suits my needs... and a few other options LOL! and their margarita's are just as good...  (my 1 big happy hour drink on outtings)

Hope I did not upset all mexican food lovers...  LOL, did not mean too...  i love it also...

(hiding as I see red's[smiley=gorgeous.gif] eyes glow [smiley=evil.gif]walking about with tape duct to close my mouth  :-X as her followers are chanting to hang me[smiley=hanged.gif]

Hi,

I was reading this section and I'm not quite sure what it is? Is it a diet suport group for those who are trying to lose weight?

And I go to a gym three times a week and have consulted a fitness expert and you can eat chocolate. Dark chocolate which is 70% cocoa is good for you when you are dieting. It is a antidepressant and increases your metabolism.

Hope that helps chocoaholics out there.

Best of luck,
Bobbie :-/

Hi shewsb,   Sorry I am just now responding...did not see your post until just now.

The Fitness Club is open for all avenues of Fitness...  support for those trying to lose weight, gain weight if needed...  exercises, foods, information  (such as that lovely info on chocolate you gave us)...  sports and such activities...  anything relating to fitness may be in this group....

I hope that helps answer your question...  and please do stop by at anytime... Our doors are always open...  Wench and I love the visits.

Oh thank God for small wonders such as this!
Now where is that bar of chocolate! ;D
