Firstly, I want to say how amazing this forum is! I’ve been reading it a lot recently and have had almost all of my questions answered - thank you to everyone who contributes.
The reason I’m writing is because my husband and I are in the process of applying to switch his Tier 4 student visa to FLR(M) and are struggling a little with our correspondence evidence. He moved in with me as soon as he entered the country in August of 2016, so we’re looking to cover the last 15 months. His correspondence looks pretty good, but unfortunately I have a four month gap right at the beginning. I went to the bank and asked if they could verify my online statements with a covering letter/stamp them but they have completely refused. They printed the statements off in-branch and offered to send duplicates, but I’m concerned these won’t be sufficient to prove my address, especially as my name has changed since last September and it will be very apparent that the correspondence was not sent to me at the time.
Because we sub-rent from my parents I really have no other correspondence available to me for this time period. I’ve checked every nook and cranny of our home and there’s nothing.
I wondered if anyone has had a similar issue or has advice? I’m so worried that my bank’s lack of cooperation could be the thing that stops this happening for us.
