After Decision - Spouse Visa
« on: November 28, 2017, 04:44:28 PM »
Hello all.

After receiving a decision and your passport has been returned to you, how long do you have till you must report to the specified location in the UK?

Just curious as a decision has been made but I have yet to get my passport back...just want to cover my bases now rather than later.

Thanks for your assistance.

Your visa vignette in your passport will be valid for travel for 30 days.

This 30 days will either start on the date you put as your Intended Travel Date on the application form (or a few days before), or it will start from around the date the decision was made, if your intended travel date has already passed.

You will have the 30 days listed on the vignette to enter the UK. Then you will have 10 days to pick up your BRP card from the designated Post Office once you arrive in the UK.

Just received this in an email...

"A decision has been made on your UK Visa application.  Your application will be dispatched shortly from the UK Decision Making Centre."

Thoughts?

It’s a generic email - everyone gets the same one.

It just means that a decision has been made and the package will be mailed back to you soon. You will find out what the decision is when you receive the documents back.
