I spent ages looking for a used automatics and only ended up finding two - a Citroen and a Peugeot (can't remember exact models, but they were both 2005-2007). I absolutely hated the way they felt when I test drove them. They seemed to labour so much between gears and I honestly felt unsafe. I was really struggling to find used automatics, so I bit the bullet and decided to buy a brand new car. I had come over with a little savings nest-egg -- and, while I didn't necessarily want to drop quite that much money in one go, I just thought it'd be the best thing for me in the long-run.
I bought a 2017 Hyundai i20 and I love it so much. My workplace is 20 miles away from where I live and I have to spend a fair amount of time driving everyday. It's an awesome, robust little car and reasonably priced. It's true that it's only 3 months old, but it brings me back to my old reliable Sonata which I had for 10 years in the US (and only lost it because of a major flood during Hurricane Sandy).
