Hi! Is there a link or site that lists the timeline and regulations for marrying in Scotland? I am on a 6 month fiancee visa and I have been living here one week. I just need info on where we go ( either physically or a website) to register to be married. Our wedding is in late Feb. We are going to contact a humanist to perform the ceremony, wondering what legal docs I would need to present or obtain from this person as well.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Glad you made it to the UK :).

As far as I know, there are no residency requirements before you can give notice to marry in Scotland (whereas in England, you have to be resident for 7 days before giving notice).

Once you give notice to marry, you have to wait at least 28 days before you can actually get married... however this may be extended to 70 days if one of you holds a visa and if your case is referred to UKVI. As you already have a fiance visa with permission to marry, you should only have to wait the normal 28 days though.

See here for information on how to marry in Scotland:

and the information about what happens if you have a visa:
