applying for my second visa in the time that my current visa will expire

Hi, I am in a quandary about sending in my second visa. I am currently on a 6-month fiancee visa. We are planning our wedding in March ( if we have to up if we can last minute). My current visa expires April 9th. The application will be in the hands of the folks in Sheffield before expiration but could expire before the second one is sent back to us. Could this be an issue?

Not an issue at all.

The only requirement is that you mail the visa application to UKVI BEFORE April 9th. The visa does not have to be granted by that date.

As long as you apply before the fiancé visa expires, your current immigration status will simply be extended while the visa is processing.

Oh, also, if you apply using the paper form, not the online form - which we recommend, because the online form is a nightmare - your FLR(M) application will be processed in Durham, not Sheffield.
