FLR (M) Premium Service Centre Booking
« on: December 20, 2017, 07:10:19 PM »
Hi,

We are about to consider booking our premium service centre appointment and wondered if it is easy to reschedule the appointment to a later date (if needed)? We want to book now to secure a date for when I am in the country as the sponsor, but I am worried that the last 2 or so pieces of mail we are waiting on might arrive late given the holiday period (we were looking at booking a mid January appointment).

If anyone has experience changing appointment dates then that would be very helpful!

Thanks!

It’s easy to change dates - BUT they are processing the post reveals in about six weeks.  Unless your spouse needs their passport faster, it’s worth considering post to save £590.

Thanks for the info as always. Yeah I just figured applying early as possible is best because then she can work that much sooner and earn back the money we lost on the priority service.

Hi! Quick question, turns out nowhere seems to have premium availability until the 5th of February!! I have a letter from my workplace dated today and will have most recent bank statements etc. for December. Would documents dated today (employment letter, December bank statement) be valid for the appointment if it were to be booked for Feb 5th, or would I have to get a whole new letter again!?!

The documents must be dated no more than 28 days before your appointment date.

So if your appointment is on Feb 5th, then your latest payslip, bank statement and employer letter must be dated on or after 8th January.

The appointments are released 6 weeks in advance and can book up fairly quickly, so to guarantee an appointment in mid-January you probably would have needed to book it at the end of November/beginning of December.

Thats highly annoying since they're the ones with low availability. So Ive paid the IHS fee online now, as I had to do that to even see the availability. If we were to go the postal route, I assume docs just have to be valid within 28 days of UKVI receiving them? How do I then alter to doing that given I have now paid the IHS?

Have you only paid the IHS through the IHS website, and not paid anything else? If so, you just don’t book an appointment and instead print the IHS receipt and include it with your documents when you mail them. Everyone has to pay the IHS the same way, regardless of whether they apply by post or in-person - all you need is the IHS reference number to show you’ve paid.

If you apply by post, your documents must be dated no earlier than 28 days before the postmarked date on the package. This is generally assumed to be the day after you mail it as it may not be postmarked on the same day that you send it.

I paid the IHS through some sort of alpha website that I was redirected to on gov.uk during the premium service centre application. we got emails just saying this confirms your IHS number blah blah, Is that okay?

Alternatively we are considering going up to Glasgow as there is an appointment on January 17th which is exactly 28 days from today. Would that be okay for the appointment?

There is only one place you can pay the IHS surcharge and that is on the UKVI website here:
https://www.gov.uk/healthcare-immigration-application/pay

What I was asking was whether you only paid the IHS surcharge or if you also paid the visa fee or premium appointment fee.

As long as you didn’t do anything other than pay the IHS, there’s nothing you need to do. You just print your IHS reference number and place it with your documents.

That should be okay :).

You do both need to attend the appointment so just make sure you’re both available to go on that date :).

Booked it :) Bit further than I was planning instead of my leisurely drive to Sheffield but we'll make a road trip of it!
