Tracking website is down
« on: December 16, 2017, 05:36:55 PM »
The online website at the immigration service that used to let you put in a case number to track where your application was in the system is now gone. A message says it was only there on a trial basis and if you are within the service time period to just wait.

Oh, well.

Yup, they removed it for being inaccurate.  I saw my citizenship application as "decided" and still haven't receive any paperwork.  No idea if it was just the system sucking or if it has in fact been decided.  Oh well, time will tell!

It was just Beta testing.

Too bad, as it was more comforting than just sending an application in and waiting six months to see what it was doing!

When we were waiting for our FLR, which took way longer than it should have, I managed to convince myself that no news was good news! That helped!  ;D

Nan's current opinion of the British Government bureaucratic processes requires the "Spock One Eyebrow Lift" look of dubiousity. (Is that a word? Is now!)

It needs to be a word!  It's like curiosity, but for skepticism.

Woo!  The Daughter's EU FM residence card arrived today by "signed for" post. Now as soon as they send back our passports, we can travel. Etc.   ;D

It had been taking 6 months for people, but only took 2.5 months for her this time.

Woooo, happy dance, happy dance!

And arriving on Solstice is auspicious!  ;D  We are both thrilled it's here.

Surprisingly, also, the paperwork packet that included our passports arrived about three hours later, also signed-for.  So we are now free to travel - darn it, a bit too late to make the Christmas Markets as we had hoped, but next year!

The only thing missing from the paperwork packet was the letter from her University department stating she was a fully-enrolled student there, and the first page of the cover sheet that stated what documents we were including in the packet when we sent it in. (They sent back the second page.) Had PDF'd the whole thing before sending, so that's no big deal, but a little curious as I thought they were supposed to return everything.

They usually keep the letters addressed to them.

Congratulations!!
