Job App Question
« on: January 07, 2018, 06:34:46 PM »
Hi,

I am currently on a fiancee visa and just started applying for jobs since my FLR appointment (premium service center) is on January 17th. I know I don't have official legal permission yet but I wanted to get the ball rolling especially since interviews aren't likely to happen right away.

I was able to submit applications fine but a few have asked me to specify the my visa expiry date....I don't want to risk anything so I've abandoned it for now. Or should I add 2 years and 6 months to my appointment date?

Thanks for your advice!

If it asks for your visa information, you’re not going to be able to apply until you have your FLR(M) because you’ll need a visa that allows work for the application... and you don’t have that yet.

You will also probably run into apps that ask for your National Insurance No. You'll have to let those go for now too.

Your BRP will probably not be for the day that you are approved and putting the wrong date on an application is not a good thing.

As the others said, you'll have to wait to apply for anything that requires your BRP information or your NINo.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.
