Special Circumstances to Attend a Funeral
« on: January 23, 2018, 06:17:04 PM »
Is anyone aware of any process whereby I could obtain approval to travel to the UK to attend a family funeral while my visa is being decided? My wife's mum is 97, in very poor health and we are starting to worry that my visa won't be approved in time. Not being morbid here but want to be prepared for the worst-case.
Arrived in UK:   22-Feb-2018
Nationality:  US Citizen; wife is UK Citizen
FLR(M)Online application:  25-Jul-2020 anticipated

That might be a reason for your application to be fast tracked on compassionate grounds. I would contact your MP and see if they can help.
