Form AN and parking tickets?
« on: January 15, 2018, 10:51:18 AM »
On page 8 of guide AN it says-

“3.1-3.2 you must give details of all criminal convictions both within and outside the United Kingdom. These include road traffic offenses”

So far, so good but then it goes on to say-

Fixed penalty notices (such as speeding or parking tickets) must be disclosed, ...

There is no way we are going to be 100% accurate on parking tickets. We lived in the parking hell that is West Hollywood with two cars and only one space and street cleaning different days depending on where you managed to snag a spot. So we did get some for forgetting to move the car on street cleaning days. And I say we because the car he drove was in both our names and the one I drove was in his name so any I got would be in his name.
We paid them all but I know they are really looking for full disclosure and I don’t want to over or underestimate the amount that we got.

And looking at form AN, there doesn’t seem to be a place for non criminal traffic/parking violations. I suppose the any other info section would have to do but just wondered what others have done?

Thanks!

Two ways to approach it.

1.  You could see if the county court has a record of the fines (phone call or email)

2.  Just estimate and put a statement that essentially says exactly what you wrote here" "approximately six parking tickets in mine and my wife's name between 1995-2000.  We had street parking and due to different time restrictions, a few times we neglected to move the car in a timely manner resulting in a parking fine.  All fines were paid in full."  It's not going to affect a thing.  :)

Thank you very much!  ;D

Just when I thought I had things almost under control! And I was only looking at form AN last night because I’m sick of SET(M) already!  ;D

Am having a bit of a panic attack about the parking violations as well, having also lived in the nearby parking hell(s) of Play del Rey & El Segundo. No bloody idea how many, but they were all paid immediately, but seriously, it was over 18 years ago o.O

Also, I've gotten 1 speeding ticket (back in 1988? I think) and one ticket for not using my blinker on the highway when trying to avoid a speeding POLICE car xD in 2003 or 2004(?)

*sigh*

So you all reckon just pleading it out as is will be enough?
