sale of house paperwork.
« on: March 13, 2018, 11:35:14 PM »
My wife and I (she is American and I'm British by birth)are currently working on our second application for a uk visa as our first was denied. We are going to use funds we have in our savings account and from the sale of our home.
My question for the experts on this site is, what paperwork from the sale of the house do we need to include with the six months of bank statements that prove we have had the money in our savings for the necessary time period?

I'm sure they'll eventually see it, anyway, but you will probably get a quicker response if you ask this in the Visas & Citizenship section of the forum.  Up here we tend to talk about finding housing, and issues with landlords and stuff.

As for paperwork, I don't know which documents, specifically, but I do know you'll need to be able to show that you owned the house 6 months before the date of your application, and then you'll need to show that the proceeds from the sale of the house + savings you've had for at least 6 months meet the savings threshold.
