I'm finding it difficult to understand how many documents I need for the ILR
It’s exactly the same documents as for your FLR(M), and the documents you need should be on the application form.
Off the top of my head:
Applicant:
- Your passport
- Any other passports you have held since moving to the U.K.
- BRP card
- 2 passport photos of you with your name on the back
Sponsor
- Passport (or full photocopy of applying by post)
- 1 passport photo with name on the back
Finances:
- 6 months of HIS payslips only
- 6 months HIS bank statements only
- employer letter from HIS employer only
Optional but recommended:
- HIS job contract
- HIS latest P60
You should only include both sets of financial documents if you need to combine your incomes to meet the £18,600 requirement. If his income meets the requirement on its own, you should leave your employment details blank and NOT include any financial documents from you at all... just pretend you don’t work.
Accommodation:
- Tenancy agreement if you rent
Or
- Land registry document if you own
Relationship
- Marriage certificate
- 1 photo of you together
- 6 documents showing co-habitation over the last 2 years
What dates are on your correspondence documents?
You only need 6 in each name (3 per year) but at the moment you have 10 in your name and 7 in his name. If you have 5 documents in joint names then you only need 1 more each, as long as the dates work.
They need to be evenly spaced over the last 2 years, one document for each 4-month period. So if you can list the date on every document, we can work out which ones you need to send.
Edited to take out mention of IHS surcharge.
