Email Enquiry - 'case resolved' without an answer
« on: March 26, 2018, 11:24:44 AM »
Hi there,

We have gone past day 30 since our documents were received. We decided to send an email and pay the £6 to check that we are labelled as priority and to request a status as we have seen that some people get a response on their applications after doing so.

However, they immediately emailed back asking for the standard details (which we had included in our original email anyway) and I also got an email saying our case had been resolved. I now haven't heard anything else back.

Did other people get the 'your case is resolved' email and then still get a response? They certainly haven't answered any questions for us!

I had the same issue with them. Try to write them another email.

I called them afterwards as well, and they said they couldn’t find my GWF in the system.

In fact I would not recommend using their service at all, it’s absolutely useless. You think you are doing something, but the sad truth is that you don’t do anything apart of paying them more money for nothing. Better to contact MP.

The service that you are paying for is a third party provider who does not have access to UKVI systems.  They very frequently give incorrect information, bad advice, and are generally the biggest crock of sh*t out there!

The best you will receive after 20 days or so is "your case is under review" which simply means that your application is in line awaiting someone to pick it up and process it.

If you have tracking information showing that the application was signed for - it WILL be processed - promise!

If you wrote "priority application" on the exterior of your envelope or placed the priority receipt on top of your pile of documents, the application is certainly in the priority queue.

Ha, ok thank you! To be honest we did just do it to make it feel like SOMETHING was happening and always worth a try. I should have learnt by now in this process not to get your hopes up that anything will help. I haven't seen many people who have gone past day 30 w/o getting a 'non-straightforward' email or anything so did hope we would hear but I guess that was too optimistic. Just have to keep waiting.

Well, I don’t know... we had 43 bd without not straightforward email, but I applied from France. Emailing or calling them won’t help, don’t waste even 6£ for this atrocious service.

The only useful thing you can do is to contact MP.

There’s nothing special about working day 30.
All priority does is get the application put in the priority pile when it arrives in Sheffield.... so it should be opened and processed ahead of non-priority.

After that though, it takes as long as it takes... there’s no guarantee of it being processed within a certain number of days.
