Tennessee to West Yorkshire
« on: March 23, 2018, 07:44:52 PM »
I'm a lifelong Tennessean moving to Dewsbury to join my wife, hopefully at the end of May.  We are six weeks into the non-priority visa process and are watching the days drag by at this point.

I'm planning to ship my Harley over this summer and resume my career as an English/history teacher this fall there.  I've already been awarded QTS.  I'd be interested to hear from people who have experience with either of those topics.

Thanks!

No experience of Harley, I'm afraid! I do live very very close to West Yorkshire (Leeds postcode). And until a few weeks ago I had been a (Physics) teacher for 6 or 7 years... Teaching in the UK is in a bit of a state of flux at the moment. You should get job hunting for the Autumn term now. Expect to work 55-65 hour weeks during term and a few days each week in the holidays. A place that might help is tes.co.uk which is where almost every secondary school posts their vacancies.
2004-2008: Student Visa
