FLR M payment pending transaction
« on: April 03, 2018, 12:22:10 PM »
Hi all,

Just have a quick question please regarding FLR M fee payment. Sorry if the question is odd/stupid.

I've just noticed on my bank statement that the home office have taken the fee from my bank account. However the fee payment is shown as "pending transaction" (my available balance is deducted). Does this mean that the home office have successfully received the money? Or does it mean the home office will only receive the money once the transaction is no longer pending?

Only reason I'm asking is because I'm concerned if the home office doesn't immediately receive the money, could that prompt them to return the application as invalid?

Thanks

It's really normal for a transaction to be pending before it's officially posted.  I would watch in the next day or two for it to post officially, but I anticipate you will have no trouble.  :)

Thanks very much for your reply.

Was just a bit concerned as the FLR M says card payments clear immediately.

I assume if the pending transaction becomes posted that implies the HO have started considering the application and didn't send it back?

Thanks.

It's probably just due to the Easter bank holiday weekend.

They don't start considering the application until after you have given biometrics. So, all they will have done so far is take payment without looking at the documents yet. After that they will send out an acknowledgement letter and a biometrics invite letter. Once you have given biometrics, they can start processing the application.

I think it would only be considered invalid if your payment details were incorrect, but you know they aren't because the payment is already pending in your account.

Thanks very much for the reply. Didn't realize they only consider the application after biometrics.

Thanks again.
