Long time expat, first time poster

Hello! 
I moved to the UK back in 2005 from Seattle and have now settled in Croydon, home of the Home Office. This forum has been useful to lurk in during my previous visa applications (student visa, extension of student visa, unmarried partner, ILR) but now that the time to apply for citizenship is well overdue I thought I'd better join and ask some questions.

Although I love it here and am planning to stay, sometimes I also feel a bit homesick (or want track down certain foods!) so it will be nice to chat to some folks in the same boat  :)

Hi and "welcome" (though you've been lurking around for ages)!  I'm so glad you are joining the conversation!  We have a lot of fun here, and another voice is always welcome.  :)

4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)
