Help!!
« on: July 12, 2018, 02:25:34 AM »
So I just got accepted for me visa, unfortunately I now got a driving Offence and have to pay a fee or appear in court next month.
I’m going to pay the fee but is a driving offence something I need to worry about with my visa or reapplying again?

Nah, basic traffic tickets are civil offenses, not criminal. Only going to be a problem if you don't pay the fine(s), then things can escalate and become a criminal offense.

Depends on the driving offense...  was it a moving violation or DUI?

Movimg I’m assuming. Doesn’t say on the ticket. Definitely not a DUI

Not an issue at all, as that won't have affected the visa application anyways.  You should mention it on the application for your extension in 2.5 years  (if the form asks for it), but otherwise, deep breaths and relax.  :)
