Hi all,

How recent the payslip and bank statements need to be? I saw this requirement "Payslips covering a period of 6 months prior to the date of application"

What's the "date of application" here? is it the date that I booked the appointment or is it the appointment date?

If it's the appointment date(for me it's 7th Aug), I will need to re-prepare some of my employment docs as they are gonna be more than 30 days old from 7th Aug =(

Are you doing the paper form or the online form?

If paper (recommended), the application date is the day of the appointment.  So that would mean payslips from February 1st to July 31st (if paid at the end of the month).  If the February payslip doesn't have "February 1st" on it, include the January payslip dated the end of the month to ensure you are covering the full period.

Once you have your window of payslips, ensure your bank statements cover the same date range (likely to be a bit longer on each side).

Employer letter dated within 28 days of the appointment as well.

If you completed the form online, everything changes based on the date you submitted the online application.

I see.
Would it be okay for me to submit the application online now and then bring the printout version to the in-person appointment?

Sorry about that.  Looks like for FLR(M), the paper application is required for in person appointments.

You have not made an application until you have completed a paper form and attended your appointment at a premium service centre.

If you have already booked your appointment and pay for the visa, you HAVE to use the paper form.

You cannot complete and submit the online form without booking an appointment and paying at the end of it... which means if you have already booked and paid for the appointment and visa, the only way to apply is using the paper form (which is the recommended thing to do anyway).

Not a rookie question at all - it’s something we’re still figuring out too... so I didn’t mean for my reply to come off as abrupt.

I was just trying to emphasise that there is no way to apply online anyway if you’ve already booked the appointment... because the system won’t let you do it :).
