Locked Posts
« on: October 21, 2018, 08:53:02 AM »
Hi folks
I am not a moderator on this board so I can't do much more than lock posts that we can moderator reports for.
I hope your posts can re-opened soon.

In the meantime, please refer to the forum rules: and privacy policy:

https://www.uk-yankee.com/page/terms-use-privacy-policy

In the visa forum, we are especially careful to post legitimate government links only for official information.  We don't post to other sites who claim to offer visa information, advice, or blogs.

Please be mindful of this and post only legitimate government advice only.  Our forum members do an especially good job at this and spend a long time double checking information.

If you have any specific questions about your posts being locked, please PM me.
 :)

Thank you PB!

I’m hoping one of the visa board mods can clean the posts and unlock them so our new members can get the help they need.  Accurate and free of charge from start to finish, of course.   ;)

Hi, just a wee update: I'm trying to get your locked posts resolved and the other spammy ones we've gotten mod reports for recently.   Appologies that I am not able to do more at this time, but I'm not a moderator on this board.

I love that the forum is so lightly moderated.... because we're all so well behaved!   :)

In light of this "crisis", learning how little moderation we've had all this time, I'm struck by just how good this site and its members really are!  This place is what humanity should be like.  Yay, us!

Our thread is still locked after olgachilds posted in it. We'd like to keep all the advice received in one place, so I was wondering if there's any sign of our thread being unlocked again?
Thanks

I hope a board mod/global mod can come along soon and open back up for you. Unfortunately I can only lock and not unlock.

If you have questions at the moment, just start another thread for now.  :)

Our original thread is still locked, and I'm reluctant to start another thread as I know this can be frustrating for those giving advice, and also I'd MUCH rather have one thread with all the info relating to our circumstances in it so that when the time comes to begin applying we can just consult one thread (and possibly avoid having to ask the same questions again cos we can't find the answers).

I was wondering about copying and pasting the contents of our original thread into a new thread (minus the olgachilds post)?  Would that be ok?  I was actually responsible for reporting the olgachilds post in my thread as it looked like solicitation, and I kinda regret doing that now!

I would go ahead and start a new thread and also link to the old thread in your opening post, so that we can easily find it.

Also, you could copy over/remind everyone of the important information about your situation too.

Yeah, copy over and link. I’m really sorry no one has come to fix the threads for you.
