Applying for Unmarried Partner visa
« on: December 16, 2004, 04:20:02 PM »
Hi!
I am applying soon for UP visa and I have a question. I will reach the 2 year cohabitation period with a german citizen on February 3rd. Then I was thinking of going in person to apply for the visa in Germany (where I am a resident now).
The problem is: my partner canĀ“t go with me because he has to start his new job in the UK on January 10th, and he is flying to Scotland on January 8th.
I would like to know: - will my cohabitation period be valid in February as if we are living 2 years together? I mean, my partner has to go 3 weeks earlier, will they accept that or will they tell: "well, you just lived together 23 months and 1 week!".
I am worried about it.
Thanks,
Glauco

It's not worth worrying about.

Just bring all the dox with you.  I doubt they will even ask, but if they do, hey - he had to start work on such and such a date.  And the problem is?
