HR Department confusion for Employee Letter...
« on: November 16, 2018, 11:19:42 AM »
Requested a letter from my HR department for my ILR application to confirm my role, salary, and start date at my company. Also asked for it on lettered paper and to me physically mailed to me signed and not sent digitally (just to me safe but asked for a digital copy as well). Literally just been IM'd by the HR department asking me for the embassy address...

I asked what they needed the embassy address for as I wasn't sure what address to give? She advised "the visa letter should be address to the embassy where you will apply for the visa. we need that address."  I didn't think I was applying to an embassy? Does this sound normal? Would I give the UK embassy in London?? I think this person has been confused perhaps but I'm not sure if this is maybe normal and I've just not dealt with it before?

Thanks in advance.

My Hr just left an address off and addressed it to the home office, and to whom it converts

Thanks! Resolved it by putting "To Whom It May Concern" and removed the address issue altogether. They have me in their systems as my Nickname not my full name, but I will take that risk and write that in the explanation. Everything else it there and looks good.

Thanks again for your help.

Problem officially solved.

There is a place in the application where you can note any other names by which you are known. You could put it there too but always good to explain anything that isn't 100% simple!
