My husband and I were laughing so hard - I actually had tears falling!  THIS IS MY LIFE PEOPLE.

This may explain why my food bill is so high...   [smiley=smart.gif]

I'm so sad that the nearest Costco is too far away to justify having a membership, because I know there are some American products (or really good facsimiles) there that I want.  But that collection of Costco culture tweets is why it would prove too "American" for my husband.  The judgement I would have to endure just to get my hot dogs...  :-\\\\

KF, did you ever get the cheesecake?  Was it proper baked New York cheesecake?  THAT would win my husband over!

I did!  XoD and Jimbo partook in it.  It's Cheesecake Factory cheesecake, imported from the USA.  It's as good as it gets.  I brought the leftovers to work and the other two Americans in the office basically did the happy dance while eating their pieces.  ;D

Oh my gawd, I must figure out how to get this for my husband.  How many people would I need to share it with to consume it within its best-before/use-by date?  Can it be frozen?  Does it come frozen?

It comes frozen.  There are two.  One which is a traditional plain cheesecake that isn't sliced.  The other is 4 different types with 3 slices of each type.  That one is ideal because you could just thaw a slice at a time.

How big are they?  If we defrosted one at a time and worked our way through it, could the two of us manage?  Even I will eat my share of it, because it's proper cheesecake, so not cloyingly sweet.  And my husband likes his desserts.  :)

It's Cheesecake Factory cheesecake.  Three bites go a loooooooooooong way.  It is VERY sweet.  Especially as your tastebuds are British now.  ;D

they are big.  Like 2kg.  ;)

Darnitall, KF!  I wanted this to happen, and now you're talking me out of it.  What am I going to do with all that cheesecake?  :P

"Every time the Costco parking lot isn’t over-crowded, I get nervous that I missed the rapture."

HA!

I took my husband once to a "BJs Wholesale Club"  and he just couldn't believe the size of everything.
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

Hahah!! We don’t have Costco near enough, but we have a bulk store for people who own businesses ( no idea how we wrangled a membership but I’ll take it).

We made the mistake of going in after a day shopping in town, absolutely starving.

The stuff that ended up in my cart is hilarious.  I now am the proud owner of the biggest bag of bon bons one can ever have.
