I'm surprised.  I definitely have to enter it every now and again.

LOVE contactless.  And Apple Pay!

I also love Apple Pay and it pretty well is everywhere that contactless is.

We are heading to the USA in March (to LA via a cruise through the Panama Canal), I hope they have moved on since we left in 2017 where Apple Pay was rarely available to us where we used to live in Texas.

Even my phone (with thumbprint unlock) requires my password every now and again.  And the worst that would happen if people got into my phone is they'd get access to all the photos that don't make it to social media (various takes of the ones that do, generally, so there's literally nothing to hide except my poor photography skills).

So it's been quite a while. I have two American Cap One credit cards that I'm going to use on our upcoming vacation. They are "signature" cards (not pin and chip) as far as I know. Does the USA now use Pin and Chip?

I believe they use chip and signature but still accept magnetic strip cards.
