Sweet/Spicy italian sausage for US recipes
« on: January 14, 2019, 07:47:21 PM »
Folks,

Has anyone found packages of Italian sausage like we have in the US where you can squeeze it out of the casing into the pan and fry, for use with recipes? I don't think I have ever seen anything like that.

Alternatively I have a tube of sausage meat I got at Christmas with the intention of doing something with it - can I assume that if it is sausage meat for stuffing it is plain or have they added things to it? It came from a proper butcher at least.

I've not seen anything like it. I make my own and it's stupid easy.

And it more than likely has "stuff" in it like fillers.

I've got a local butchers that makes Italian sausage - I just buy his links and squeeze the meat out of the casing.

Heck do an Italian Chicken flavour, which is quite nice.  Not the same as what you're looking for, but good for a change of pace.
